Milkha Singh was the inspiration for 2013 Bollywood hit, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Rakesh Omprakash Mehra is known for the beauty he brings forth in his films, but little do people know that the people who worked on making this story a success were beautiful souls too. Yes. Milkha Singh is said to have taken only Re. 1 as the fee for the storyline. While Sonam Kapoor who plays Nirmal Kaur in the film, once said in an interview that she charged only Rs 11 as her fee. Who does these things in today's time and age?

Mohammad Rafi was more than just a sensational singer. He was a nuanced Boxer and in fact held deep respect for fellow Mohammad boxer, Mohammad Ali!

Once when he was touring Chicago, he got to know Ali was in the city and requested his organizers to help him meet his idol. Otherwise a busy man, Ali proceeded to Rafi’s hotel room when he found out that the legendary Indian singer wanted to meet him.WOW!

While this may come as a shock to many, Veeru was actually in love with Basanti during the filming of the movie Sholay. Yes. That is right. Dharmendra was head over heels with the dreamgirl Hema Malini during their shooting and was determined to make this work. So much so that the actor reportedly used to pay the light boys to disrupt the shooting whenever a romantic sequence of the couple was being shot so that there could be several takes. CUTE!

This was the most hilarious thing ever!!!

Tom Cruise, who was already an international superstar was approached to play the role of Raj in DDLJ. Yash Chopra sure had some ardent dreams. But thank god the role went to Shahrukh Khan who created the best chemistry on screen ever with the SRK-Kajol jodi!!!

Gabbar was never to be played by the late Amjad Khan. In fact the first choice was Sikkim's blue eyed boy, Danny Denzongpa. However, Danny turned the offer down as he was already busy with Feroz Khan’s Dharmatma which was to be shot in Afghanistan at the same time. Amjad was almost dropped because scriptwriter Javed Akhtar found his voice too weak for Gabbar Singh’s role.

Remember this movie? It probably kickstarted two most poignant careers in Bollywood - both of which worked because of fabulous looks and bodies, and not because of their ability to act!

Anyway, turns out, this sensation of 2000's went on to be added to the Guinness Book of World Records for winning most number of awards. Precisely 92!

We knew life was twisted in the film industry, but this just blew our minds. Sridevi was 13 when she played the step mother of Rajnikanth in a Tamil film titled Moondru Mudichu which basically translates to Three Knots!

We sure are knotting up in our throats!

#2 PINK!

In cult superhit Pink, the climax was actually designed to be reverse, where the male protagonist Rajveer wins the case and female protagonist, Meenal who is also the accused, loses the case. But this would not go down well with the audience and hence the end was changed. In fact, during the shoot Tapasee Pannu, who plays Meenal was actually down with a viral and asked to dub later. But the makers were so strict about originality, that they made her do it at that very instant. Turned out perfectly well, we guess!

Raj Kapoor was extremely superstitious so much so that he went off drinking and eating non-vegetarian food before the release of ‘Satyam Shivan Sundaram.' This 1978 film was a path breaker on many grounds and earned him a lot of fame. However, this grave step of laying off the staples of a Punjabi diet must not have come easy!
