Tera mera pyar amar phir kyo mujhako lagataa hai dar - 2
Mere jivan saathi bataa kyun dil dhadake rah rah kar

Kyaa kahaa hai chaand ne jisako sunake  chaandani
Har lahar pe jhumake kyo ye naachane lagi
Chaahat kaa hai harasu asar phir kyo mujhako lagataa hai dar
Tera mera pyar amar phir kyo mujhako lagataa hai dar

Kah rahaa hai meraa dil ab ye raat na dhale
Khushiyo kaa ye silasilaa aise hi chalaa rahe
Tujhako dekhun dekhun jidhar phir kyo mujhako lagataa hai dar
Tera mera pyar amar phir kyo mujhako lagataa hai dar

Hai shabaab par umag har khushi javaan hai
Meri dono baaho me jaise aasmaan hai
Chalati hun mai taaro par phir kyo mujh ko lagataa hai dar
Tera mera pyar amar phir kyo mujhako lagataa hai dar

Aap ki nazron ne samjha - Lyrics.
Posted by: Ron - 06-04-2018, 11:40 AM - Forum: Music Corner - Replies (8)

Aapki nazaron ne samjha, pyaar ke kabil mujhe
Dil ki ai dhadkan thaher ja, mil gayee manzil mujhe
Aapki nazron ne samjha

Ji hamen manzoor hai, aapka ye faisla
Kah rahi hai har nazar, banda paravar shukriya
Do jahaan ki aaj khushiyan ho gayee haasil mujhe
Aapki nazron ne samjha

Aapki manzil hoon main meri manzil aap hain

Hanske apni zindagi mein, kar liya shaamil mujhe
Aapki nazron ne samjha

Why Visiting The Beach Frequently Is Good For Your Health
Posted by: Ron - 05-04-2018, 09:25 AM - Forum: Times of Knowledge - Replies (3)

There seems to be a common mistake when people think about the beach. I’m guilty of it too as I used to think it was for nothing but relaxing. Although that is somewhat true, there are a lot more benefits to visiting the beach frequently and that’s what I will be discussing.
Relaxing
Let’s get the most obvious reason out of the way first. We can all agree lying down on the beach can really help you relax. People who suffer with insomnia understand how frustrating it is to try and find a way to get a better night’s sleep. But going to the beach is a natural cure to this problem. How you ask? Well, insomnia is caused primarily from stress and anxiety but also other factors including your sleeping environment and lifestyle choices. The NHS go into depth on the causes of insomnia with other solutions on how to cure it. Unwinding on the beach can be a real release and can relieve stress allowing you to sleep better at night. Whether you decide to go to sleep on the beach or just enjoy the calming atmosphere of the waves crashing against the sand is up to you. Whilst not a cure by itself the beach can aide in helping you to relax and unwind, providing a better nights sleep.

Air
You may be thinking how on earth can the air on the beach benefit my health? If you live in an urban area, as most of the world’s population does, you will have noticed how bad the air quality can be, particularly in the hot summer days. ‘Scientific tests have revealed many of the irritant oxides in nitrogen gas are created by traffic’. If you happen to live in a city or a town which suffers from a lot of pollution coming from vehicles emitting harmful gases into the air, it might be affecting your health. According to the Standard “The toxins in the air, which can cause breathing disorders, asthma and stroke, are also found in cigarette smoke”. Living in London, I can feel the pollution in this highly populated city is affecting me. Researchers at King’s College, University of London, “found a normal day’s exposure can be the equivalent of smoking 15 cigarettes”. Evidently living in a city that is highly populated and produces a lot of pollution is not good for your health. So why is visiting the beach better for you? Due to the strong winds that come off the sea there is little to no pollution at all depending on where your nearest beach is located. All this fresh air that sweeps in clears any polluted air away and further into the mainland. You’ll notice as soon as you take a step onto the beach you instantly smell and sense how clean the air is.
Sun
The sun seems to be the primary reason why people love visiting the beach. But the majority of people don’t know the science behind exposure to the sun’s rays. An average of 10 minutes in the sun is enough for your skin to absorb the sun’s rays and produce a healthy amount of vitamin D. This vitamin is crucial to your health because it’s been scientifically proven to support bone growth, support your immune system, brain and nervous system as well as regulating your insulin levels. So exposing yourself to the sun every day for a little time can impact your life positively. But don’t be mistaken by thinking the longer you are exposed to the sun the more Vitamin D you receive. That’s the furthest from the truth if anyone tells you that. If you want to stay under the sun for longer periods of time then you need UV protection. The sun’s rays do help, but they can also have drastic consequences. Skin cancer is now more common than ever and is caused by the ultraviolet light from the sun. The UV rays damage your skin cells causing harmful skin cancer as well as causing your skin to wrinkle and age quicker. Avoid staying exposed in the sun for more than one hour a day, and carry a lot of sun protection to block the UV rays coming into contact with your skin.

Sand
We all used to love building sandcastles when we were younger, and probably still do. But the sand you find on the beach can actually help you physically. Walking up and down the beach has proven to develop stronger muscles in your foot. According to The Company of Biologists, their published study shows that “Walking on sand requires 1.6-2.5 times more mechanical work than does walking on a hard surface”. This proves your muscles and ligaments in your foot are working harder and as they are working harder, it is strengthening your muscles and ligaments over time. They also found out that “Walking on sand requires 2.1-2.7 times more energy expenditure than does walking on a hard surface”. As a result, you could consider walking up and down the beach every day as exercise. So not only does this improve your stress and anxiety levels because you are refreshing yourself by walking on a beach, but it also improves your fitness overtime. If you find walking over the dry sand difficult, try walking on the sand which is more stable and compact nearer the water.
So there you go. Visiting the beach is really beneficial to your health. But if you’re unlucky enough to live far away from your nearest beach, making the trip as often as you can will really help.

  Jwalamukhi, A MYSTERY
Posted by: Madhumita - 29-03-2018, 10:02 AM - Forum: Times of Knowledge - Replies (14)

One amongst the 51 Shakti peetha of the country, the Jwalamukhi Temple in Himachal is considered extremely sacred for the Hindus. 30 kms south of Kangra valley in the lap of Shivalik range and 56 kms from Dharamshala, the Jwalamukhi temple is dedicated to the "GODDESS OF LIGHT".

The legend of the Jwalamukhi Temple relates to Sati, She was brought up in the house of Prajapati Daksha and married Lord Shiva later. It is believed that Prajapati Daksha once organized a yajna and invited everyone barring Lord Shiva. Sati felt immensely humiliated at this act of her father and immolated herself in the fire of the havankund. On hearing this, Lord Shiva became so furious that he carried Sati's burnt body and moved around the three world. The gods could foresee a calamity approaching so they assembled before Lord Vishnu and asked him to do something to diffuse the anger of lord Shiva. Lord Vishnu cut apart Sati's body into several pieces with his Sudharshan Chakra. Wherever on earth the pieces of Sati's body fell, a shaktipeeth came up. These are the spot that are regarded as the power centre of the goddess.

The Jwalamukhi temple is the place where the tongue of Sati fell. Here the goddess is manifested as tiny flames that burn through the fissures in the age old rock. The temple is supposed to be first built by a king who, on the complain of a cowherd, tried to find out the place from where a female emerged and drank the milk of the cow. Since, the king was aware of the legend of Sati, he continued his search for the place and finally succeeded. He constructed a temple there and employed priest to perform pujas. Later, Pandavas came and carried out some renovation work in the temple.

Positioned besides a cliff, Jwalamukhi Mandir is built on a wooden platform in the Indo-Sikh style of architecture. The structural design of the temple is simple, but the religious aura makes it undoubtedly divine. The dome and spire of this temple are covered with Gold. The main door of the shrine is plated with silver. In front of the main shrine, there is a huge brass bell that was presented by the King of Nepal. In this temple, there is no idol because the Goddess is considered to be residing in the form of flames. This temple has nine ceaseless flames that are named as Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Vindhya Vasini, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi respectively.

Inside the shrine, there is a pit where several flames are burning. The offerings are made to the Goddess in this same pit. The 'Aartis' at different intervals of the day, are the main attraction of this temple. Usually, an offering of Rabri or thickened milk is made to the goddess. In the temple complex, there are several small shrines including Gorakh Dibbi and Chaturbhuj Temple. These blue flames are coming out from the fissures in the ancient rock.

The temple also has a great historical significance dating back to the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar. Amazed at the continuity of these flames, he tried to extinguish these by covering them with an iron disk and even channelizing water to them. But the flames blasted all these efforts. Akbar then presented a golden parasol (chattar) at the shrine. However, his cynicism at the power of devi caused the gold to debase into another metal which is still unknown to the world. His belief in the deity was all the more strengthened after this incident. Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab also paid a visit to the temple in the year 1809. The building of the temple has a gilt dome gifted by Him and silver plated folding doors.

Firstly we must understand that a flame can only be produced by burning Fuel. A fuel can be in liquid, solid and gas. The town of Jwalamukhi is situated in the lap of Dhauladhar ranges of Himalayas at an average altitude of 650m. As activities in the Earth’s layers rich in fossil fuels may initiate leakage of certain gases which act as Fuel. But if you go to the place and see, there are 10–12 tiny caves where the flame is burning every time and it appears that the fire can not be ignited by own. The flame does not burn one’s skin at all. It means the fuel is not much volatile. It does not burn to extract entire mass of remaining amount of gases underneath.

Government of India with team of able Geologists under Nehruji has also tried but in vain to establish the source of this eternal flame. The great Indian scientists and geologists failed and even some other scientific researchers failed to validate the reason. According to beliefs, there must be surely some other phenomena that are forming the reason behind this eternal flame. However, till now no scientists or geologists couldn’t predict anything. That might be the ”Supreme Nature” of God.
Finally, everything cannot be tested and verified on principles of science and that is why it is often said: “Where the thinking boundary of Science ends, Region of Spirituality begins”.

1.    The flame burns flawless and in blue color. (Scientifically this signifies complete combustion.)

2.    It is burning continuously since the first date of its known history. (Scientifically the source could be renewable in nature)

3.    To the knowledge of the source, some believe it is nothing but a reserve of natural gas.

Let’s wait for that day when we will get to know the actual reason of these burning flames.
